The MCHD recognizes two (2) classes of communicable diseases
(Reportable Diseases and Conditions - Section 90.100):
Class I (a) - Reported within three (3) hours
Class I (b) - Reported as soon as possible, within 24 hours
Class II - Reported within seven (7) days
Communicable diseases the health department has record of include:
-Campylobacter jejuni
-Chickenpox
-Chlamydia
-Gonorrhea
-Hepatitis B (carrier)
-Hepatitis C (carrier)
-Shigellosis
-Salmonellosis
-Strep Pneumoniae
-Syphilis
-Whooping Cough
-Tuberculosis
